Indiana Pride

Small town, corn fed
Tough son of a gun
Innovator, believer
Kissed by the sun
I get that feeling that many people forget
I love my country but this state is the best!
I’ve got that indiana pride yeah
I don’t keep it locked inside no
I wear it on my left arm cus
It’s not doing any harm over there
I’ll run barefoot around the lake
No shirt, no shoes and it feels great
I’ve got a dog named Bo
He’ll go wherever I go
Seasons change, people grow
My hometown stays the same
We move on, fade out
But the memories remain
And the flag reminds me
Of what we have done
Fifty states in the country
But this ones number one
I’ve got that indiana pride yeah
I don’t keep it locked inside no
I wear it on my left arm cus
It’s not doing any harm over there
You don’t have to have a tattoo
To have as much pride as I do
But it’s tough to come close
To the state that I love the most
Country roads, corn fields
Blue summer skies
Warm nights, bright stars,
Catching fireflies
Road trips with no destiny
And if you have to question me
My answer will always be the same
Indiana pride
Indiana pride
Indiana pride
Indiana pride
Indiana pride
Indiana pride
Indiana pride
Indiana pride is very much alive!

Steve's Song
03:10
|
|
||
Not over the hill and not exactly past my prime
Starting to realize my ducks haven’t fallen in line
The ones that did they did real well
So at least I’ll have a story to tell
I wasn’t a fool for dreaming
Everything happens for a reason
I’ll leave my younger self behind
And start living my own life
But before i grow up to be a man
I’ll have one last chance to...
Drink to the dreams we’ll never accomplish
Drink to the rules we’ll never abide bye bye
Drink to the questions that never get answers
And false hopes that my hunger will ever subside
We’ve all heard it at least a dozen times
You can do whatever you want if you try
I needed some get up and go so I got up and went
And I didn’t look back at all the time I’d spent
No I wasn’t wasting time
I was just enjoying mine
We cant go back so why waste the energy
Just toast with me and...
Drink to the dreams we’ll never accomplish
Drink to the rules we’ll never abide bye bye
Drink to the questions that never get answers
And false hopes that my hunger will ever subside
We can only go as far as our dreams allow
Don’t conform and don’t follow to crowd
You’re not washed up and you’re not old
Enjoy the rain the warm and the cold
Cus you’ve got plenty of time
To cast out another line
Or open a tall one skinny or small one
And repeat after me...
Drink to the dreams we’ll never accomplish
Drink to the rules we’ll never abide bye bye
Drink to the questions that never get answers
And false hopes that my hunger will ever subside
And false hopes that my hunger will ever subside

Forgetting You
03:58

She walked out and took my heart with her
On that cold, rainy day
And lord knows Oh how I miss her
I wish she’d swing by my way
But the times long past and she won’t be back
And I can’t wait around anymore
So tonight I’ll go out and I’ll get real loud
And I’ll drink myself to the floor
And usually it’s not something I like to do
But tonight I’ll try my best forgetting you
And usually I spend all my time
Working real hard and stepping in line
And usually I’ll only have a few here and there
But tonight I’ll be forgetting your long brown hair
I grab my keys and head for the door
Hop in my truck and put the peddle to the floor
But the summer sunset catches my eyes
And remembrance of you and those last goodbyes
Damn your so hard to get off my mind
I guess it’s drinking time
And usually it’s not something I like to do
But tonight I’ll try my best forgetting you
And usually I spend all my time
Working real hard and stepping in line
And usually I’ll only have a few now and then
But tonight I’ll be forgetting your blue blue eyes again
Sitting at the bar having a shot or four
When I look across the room and who walks through the door
But that brown haired beauty staring straight at me
I think I’ll have another round on me
And usually it’s not something I like to do
But tonight I’ll try my best forgetting you
And usually I spend all my time
Working real hard and stepping in line
And usually I don’t recommend drinking for two
But tonight I’ll try my best
Oh I’ll try my best yeah
Tonight I’ll try my best
Forgetting you

Alone all by yourself in the back of the room
That’s where I found you
A disregarded castaway cast aside
We tried to have one last dance, last goodbye
But your legs are weak and so are mine
And I’m not one to judge a book by its cover
But your beaten battered and abused
Sometimes time can tell a story, but it can’t erase
The damage done is just damage done
You wobbled under the pressure of the past
That you couldn’t leave behind
I can tell that its left some scars on you
Show me yours I’ll show you mine
Cus I’m not one to judge a book by its cover
Even when it’s beaten battered and abused
Sometimes time can tell a story, but it can’t erase
The damage done is just damage done
You and me baby we could sand away the rough edges
You’d still feel the same
It’s not about what’s lost, baby its about what you’ve gained
The past can only make us weak if we let it
So don’t let the others change you just walk on through
Don’t judge a book by its cover
Even when it’s beaten battered and abused
Cus sometimes time can tell a story, but it can’t erase
The damage done is just damage done
The damage done is just damage done

Hope Dont Float
04:06
|
|
||
I’ve made up my mind
Sure as shit it’s not right
But i’ll close my eyes and keep on dreaming
And I wont make it out alive
But i’ve got to try, oh i’ve got to try, just one more time
They say hope don’t float but i’ll do my best to keep my head over water
From going under as I wade into the deep
They say hope don’t float but i’ll do my best to keep my head over water
Unlike the others dragged under by the undertow
I will survive
These crashing waves, these crashing waves
I’ve made up my mind
Its time to sink or be saved, it’s time to sink or be saved
The only thing I can count on you for is a “count me out this time”
There’ll be better days i’m sure
But for now the clouds rumble as they roar
Don’t think so highly of your self-satisfaction
Here’s my reaction, you are
the one to blame, for the mess you’ve made
They say hope don’t float but ill do my best to keep my head over water
From going under as I wade into the deep
They say hope don’t float but ill do my best to keep my head over water
Unlike the others dragged under by the under tow
They say hope don’t float but ill do my best to keep my head over water
From going under as I wade into the deep
They say hope don’t float but ill do my best to keep my head over water
Unlike the others dragged under by the undertow
I’ve made up my mind
Sure as shit it’s not right
But i’ll close my eyes
And keep on dreaming
And I wont make it out alive, but i’ve got to try
Oh i’ve got to try just one more time
For you.

Hot Damn
02:43
|
|
||
On a day like today
You can feel the heat
From your head to your toes
From your heart you’ll bleed
A sun so hot
It’ll melt your soul
And you wont grow up
But you’ll never grow old
And they’ll say
Oh is it hot outside
I didn’t even realize I was melting away
And they’ll say
Oh is it beautiful
There’s no breeze it’s 100 degrees in the shade
It’s so hot right now
The sun came up but it never went back down
The wells dried up in town
And it’s so damn hot the devil won’t come around
Oh is it a lovely day
The sweat on my brow isn’t enough to keep me sane
Oh can you feel this heat
Tar bubbles up and grass burns beneath my feet
It’s so hot right now
The sun came up but it never went back down
The wells dried up in town
And it’s so damn hot the devil wont come around
There ain’t a drink or a drop in this town
ever since that devil came around

Night Ride
03:49
|
|
||
You’ve never looked so beautiful
You tried to act so brave
When you put your arms around me
I found it harder to breath
And you were just as scared as I
But we couldn’t let this pass by
When I took you for a ride
And everything was
Fine fine fine fine fine I’ve never felt better
With your hand on the throttled and we drove together
I asked you how far you wanted to go
You held me closer and said “Hell I don’t know”
And you were just as scared as I
But we couldn’t let this pass by
When I took you for a ride
And everything was
Alright right right right right but it had to end
You held me tight that night and I had to pretend
I had to hold my joy inside
Even though the stars in your eyes
Told me to hold you and never let go
But wouldn’t you know
Wouldn’t you know
I was more afraid than you
You took my heart and left it in two
But I will never forget the time
We went for that ride
Before we said goodbye

Unordinary Summer
02:18
|
|
||
Fishing pole in my hand
Casting out in the afternoon
The sun beating down upon my back
A bite on my line means supper soon
It’s not just your ordinary summer
Rainy days don’t have to be a bummer you can
Kick your shoes off lay back and wonder
Why all good must come to an end
Living for the summer is what I do
The grass turns green and the water blue
The clothes get tighter and days get longer
Take a nap in the shade when there’s nothing to do
It’s not just your ordinary summer
Rainy days don’t have to be a bummer you can
Kick your shoes off lay back and wonder
Why all good must come to an end
Summer flings get us through
Meet a new girl and take her to
The drive in theatre is not for shows
Get a little bit closer and now you know
It’s not just your ordinary summer
Rainy days don’t have to be a bummer you can
Kick your shoes off lay back and wonder
Why all good must come to an end
It’s not just your ordinary summer
Rainy days don’t have to be a bummer you can
Kick those shoes off lay back and wonder
Why all good must come to an end

Remember When
02:56
|
|
||
It's friday night and I’m done with work
PBR in my hand, a white t-shirt
I’m ready for the weekend, the weekend lets get started
I’m ready for the weekend, the weekend its time to party
Maybe we’ll sit around the fire and sing our favorite songs
Drink and tell stories all night long
Reminisce and kick back with true friends
We’ll laugh and we’ll share our do you remember whens
Like the time you slid down the stairs bare-ass
Or when we fed you oysters in a bubble bath
Threw up on your couch how could I forget
That night on the roof smoking cigarettes
We got way too drunk at your dad’s house
He got home and he kicked us out
Oh what memories were made
Because we partied on the weekends
So later we could have our
Do you remember whens
Oh yes, yes I remember now
Yeah
The time you passed out on the beach
When we almost got busted by police
Broke those bottles on new years eve
Partied so hard, cooked eggs with cheese
Looking back at those close calls
I’m so glad we can still recall
All the memories we’ve made
Because we partied on the weekends
So later we could have our
Do you remember whens
Oh yes, yes I remember now
Yeah
How could we forget
Our friendships grow stronger yet
Because we partied on the weekends
So later we could have our
Do you remember whens
Oh yes, yes I remember now
Yeah
Because we partied on the weekends
So later we could have our
Do you remember whens
Oh yes, yes I remember now
Yeah
